Lane7 in Birmingham, the Midlands’ latest late-night alternative, is now open. We got a sneak peek before the grand opening to discover what this unique new venue has to offer. Lane7 occupies an empty unit that used to house the Geisha nightclub, which closed its doors in March 2017. The Cube is another late-night venue that now has Lane7 as its home.
If you’re looking for an alternative to the typical night out, try an upscale bowling alley. There are several Birmingham bowling alleys, including Lane7, which boasts nine walnut lanes. Other options include karaoke, retro arcade games, and beer pong. In addition to bowling, Lane7 Birmingham features karaoke and a varied bar menu.

It was my sister’s wedding after-party location. The Morris Ave area is also home to Carrigan’s, a nice bar that opened in downtown Birmingham several years ago. There is also a very nice brunch menu.
Another hip bar in Birmingham is The Collins, a cocktail bar that specialises in gin-based toddies. The bartenders at The Collins are knowledgeable and will mix a cocktail for you based on your preferences. The interior evokes a retro prep school, complete with vintage typewriters and a period table of Birmingham-themed elements. The bar even introduces Peaky Blinders-themed cocktails!
